One more time--continuous form scroll problem

E

Elizabeth Swoope

I have continuous form as a subform. When records are added to the subform, I
want the subform to grow toward the bottom until and unless the area for the
subform is full, at which point, records should start scrolling off the top.

For example, if there are five records in the subform and I start adding
records, I want the five original records to stay on the screen, and as I add
records, I want to see six, then seven, then eight, etc., until I see the 15
records that will fit in the subform area. If I add another record, then the
top record on the screen should scroll off.

However, what is happening is that the form doesn't grow toward the bottom.
Instead, if there are five records shown when you view the record, then only
five records are show as you add records; the top record scrolls off as soon
as I add a new room. The subform seems to size itself to however many records
are there when you first view them. This is a real problem when you add a new
student and then start adding courses. You can only see one course in the
subform at a time. You should be able to see one and then two and then three
and so on.

I know it can work that way because I've seen a contiuous subform that does
work that way.

Thanks,

liz
