onenote/outlook multi-user links

After searching through these forums, I haven't found anyone to have the
same problem that i seem to have encountered.

We have a small 4 user network for our office using just simple public
folder sharing (no server) for networking and use Office 2007. We use a
popular outlook folder sharing program for networking
tasks/calenders/email.

I am having a very hard time figuring out the best way to set up the
links between outlook and onenote. As far as i can tell, a user has to
have a link (page) set up to a contact and then the user can instantly
navigate to the contact's information in onenote in the future.
However, when i open the contact from a different computer, it also
needs a link (page) to the same contact. So either every contact has 4
pages (1 for each user) or I need to use a powertoy to merge all 4 of
the pages into the same page. But then, the url's from onenote to
outlook bring up the wrong contact info in outlook unless the user opens
their own url.

All the notebooks sync just fine, tasks integrate wonderfully. But
having to manually 4 pages for each contact really bites (especially to
set up close to 400 families of contacts in onenote)

Did i miss something? Is there a common workaround for this?

Thanks

Are you trying to use OneNote as a CRM?

If I understand your immediate problem it is having created a OneNote page
for each contact producing one URL that all users can paste into their
Outlook contact record.
One option is to nominate one PC as the "server", create a contact Notebook,
share it and create a contact page. Then have a "client" open the shared
Notebook, link the page and paste into the contact record.
