What should be included in the next version of OneNote? Is there something
that you believe that should be added, changed/rethought or deleted

I believe:
The MS Ribbon should be on OneNote also it helps to find things we want to
do faster

There should be a way to auto multi-save
eg. everytime saved should be able to export in multiple ways eg website
with upload options, OneNote package without having always to go to Save as

The option to default choices via tickbox on prompt/pop-up

One or multiple page wizards within a current notebooks instead or on top of
templates without having to link to other office products not availiable in
all versions (mainly outlook)

Give options to integrate with other non office products such as the Windows
Live 2009 Suite and IE with options for updatable webslices on all web content

All of this should have already been intergrated into OneNote MAYBE IN THE
WAY OF FREE UPDATE for somereason this feels like a prequel BETA to OneNote
2003 and needs a proper rebuild

I would be willing to test a rebuild if and when availiable cause i have
many more thoughts that i would like to add but have run out of time

Thanks for the initiative to colledct suggestions.
The way these newsgroup work, AFAICS when suggestion posted here there
are not have too much of a change to get through to the developers.
The place for submitting suggestions for the next versionand bug reports
to the developers team is Connect:
http://connect.microsoft.com/onenote/

On order to be heard pls post your suggestions there.
It would be good if you would post the suggestions with differnt topics
*separately*.

When done, pls drop a note with the URL of your posting in here so that
we can jump in and vote for your suggestion.

Thanks in advance

This has been discussed in here with controversial opinions. I for one
would vote for an option to disable the ribbon (especially on my
TabletPC with it's small screen).

I do not really understand this wish.
The option to default choices via tickbox on prompt/pop-up
OK

not availiable in all versions (mainly outlook)

Could you explain that a bit more, pls?

webslices on all web content

As above.

BETA for 2003?? I can not see what you mean :-( :-(

TIA

Yes i see what you mean but you should still give the option for the ribbon
I do not really understand this wish.

What i mean is i would like to see the sync option being able to save
everything more than once in different ways eg save as a OneNote package
everytime and also update via FTP on a website once a day at a time i
choose/schedule

I guess you know what i mean here for those who don't another example is
like in IE when it gives you the option to always, prompt or never to
download from a selected site but not in that way just in a different way
like always do this, prompt me to do this or never do this
Could you explain that a bit more, pls?

You know how you have wizards for creating like resumes and website in word
i would like to see this in OneNote but instead of doing this before the
creation of the notebook i am sugesting that there should be section and
page/subpage wizards to create things like never ending calendars with
notes/task areas without having to use outlook (which is not availiable with
2007 office student which i am using) or instead use other calendar programs
such as windows calendar other wizards could be one page report and letter
wizards within the already open notebook without having to search for
templates to do so
As above.

BETA for 2003?? I can not see what you mean :-( :-(

It doesnt feel like it is a 2007 office product not even feeling like a 2003
product it feels like a BETA (the main part that makes me say so is the lack
of a ribbon due to the controversy (repeating my self as above) ) it feels
like something that was forgoten from office for many years and has been
released in a rush and not been thought much about the same as people dispute
Vista should never of been released (thats how i feel)

Thank You for taking the time to post your suggestions!
It's a pity, howver, that you did not follow my advice to post the
suggestions *separately*.
So now it's all-in-one :-( :-(
And this makes it impossible for me to vote for the suggestion(s) as I
only partly agree with you.

Next time pls make a new item for each suggestions

Thanks again

I want the ability to force a Page Break in printed output.

I want the ability to set the break, to see where the break has been set, to
be able to remove the break, and the ability to drag it to a new position.

A most important suggestion!!
Having no page is one of the most serious drawbacks in the current
version.

In order to be heard pls be so kind as to post this wish in Connect
which is the place for submitting suggestions for the next version and

When done, pls post the URL of your suggestion here so that we can
vote for it.

I am not sure how big a notebook can be, but a better method of optimization,
repair or defrag would be nice. I have a pretty big notebook / scrapbook
going on and I notice that after use and copy pasting etc I get quite a bit
of fragmentation on my Hard Drive. I know the culprit is OneNote because I do
not get a high level of fragmentation when I do not use OneNote.

So yes. Make OneNote play better with the system, it should be better at
staying in its own neighborhood. MS has an article that has a work around for
optimizing where it says to let OneNote do this itself rather than on demand.
So there is something going on with stability. I would hate for my notebook
to break. I love OneNote.

Ribbon will be in ON. Google for Onenote 14 images at flicker.

Does not make sense to put all suggestions into one.
Separate them. I did not vote because of this.

Thanks for supporting what I had said before.
