I'm having a strange problem with opentype fonts and the PowerPoint
viewer.
I have a set of opentype (postscript variant) fonts installed.
On Windows XP I can create a presentation using PowerPoint 2003 using
these fonts. I can view the presentation using the PowerPoint 97
viewer. All works with no problems.
On Windows XP embedded, the PowerPoint 97 viewer hangs up when I try to
view the presentation. The PowerPoint 2003 viewer however shows the
presentation, complete with the opentype fonts, with no problems.
I could understand if the PowerPoint 97 viewer couldn't deal with the
opentype fonts but the PowerPoint 2003 viewer could.
I could understand if PowerPoint on XPe couldn't deal with the opentype
fonts: I'd assume that I'd missed out a component.
What seems bizarre is that _everything_ seems to cope with the opentype
fonts except for the PowerPoint 97 viewer on XPe!
Any thoughts?
