outlook 2002 install

I have installed Office XP Professional including Outlook 2002. when I start
the Outlook program, I get an immediate error message :
"
MICROSOFT VIRTRUAL C++ Runtime Library

Runtime eRROR

pROGRAM C:/program files/microsoft office/office 10/outlook.exe

The application has requested the Runtime to terminate in an unusual way.

Contact application support team for more information. "

All other Office XP apps start fine. Need a solution to Outlook problem
described.
