Outlook 2002 with SP3 - Find Function does nothing

I have seen several earlier posts from people who have SP2 and know
that SP3 had some impact on this issue, but...
Running Outlook 2002 SP3 with Exchange 2000, click on Find function,
magnifying glass rotates as it should, no results appear and clicking
the Stop option has no effect (i.e. magnifying glass keeps spinning as
if nothing happened).
Only searching Exchange Inbox (no .PST), tried Detect&Repair on
Outlook, no difference.
We are running over Citrix MetaFrame XPa FR2/SP2.
Anybody else who has seen this problem with SP3 - any advice gratefully
received

For anybody who comes across this posting in the months to come...
Not sure what the problem was - we resolved by creating an entirely new
data Store and moving the users across into that one. Eventually we'll
have enough free disk space to run ISINTEG scan on the offending Store
-- current assumption is that it's a corruption that caused the issue I
posted on the 2nd.
