Outlook 2007 beta 2 doesn't launch

Just installed 2007 beta 2 for the second time with the same result. Trying
to launch outlook, it looks like it's going to load, then shuts down and
gives the error message "Cannot start Microsift Outlook. Cannot open the
Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been
detected in the file <long path ending in> Outlook.pst. Quit Outlook and all
emailed enabled applications and then use the inbox repair tool scanpst.exe"
I then try to run scanpst.exe and get the error message "The procecure entry
point DDLUninitInstance@0 could not be located in the dynamic link library
MSMAPI32.dll.

In order to get email back up and running i then have to remove 2007 beta 2
and Office 2003 through the control panel, then reinstall Outlook 2003 from
the original CD.

What am i doing wrong.

First of all; the error is probably right. Second; sadly the scanpst.exe
utility was broken in BETA 2 so you wouldn't be able to fix it. The
Technical Refresh of Office 2007 BETA 2 should fix this.

Word of advice;
-Disable all your add-ins unless the vendor states that they are compatible
with this BETA release
-Recreate your mail profile after upgrading or downgrading your version of
Outlook;

You should remove Outlook 2007 and 2003. Then install Outlook 2007 Beta
2, followed by B2TR (you can find the link to that on my website). Then
try again.
Post back here if it doesn't work right away before you start removing
or installing anything.

OK, when you say "the error is probably right" what does that me for me ...
that is, what can I do about this so that Outlook 2007 works? Also, I don't
have any Outlook add-ins. Just plain old Outlook.

You need to install B2TR. Then scanpst should work.
