Since I'm blind I have to use standard navigation keys to get around, and in
Outlook 2007 Microsoft started their pogrom of making everyone search for
things instead of just remembering where they put it. To this end they
introduced a search box and query builder section that is always in the way
when tabbing or shift tabbing through things.
I have no interest in this -- I know where items are in my mailboxes. I've
searched high and low for a way to make that little annoyance go away so I
can spend less time tabbing between the directory tree and the new mail
window in Outlook, but so far I haven't found it.
Is there a way to make it go away, and if so, how is it done? To be
specific, I want the Search Query, Instant Search button menu, and Expand
the Query Builder button gone.
