Outlook 2007 meeting request causes application to crash

I have multiple machines running Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2007. When a new
meeting request is made, Outlook goes to an unspecified error and must close
when an attendee is selected. No entry is found in application log.
The same process works in Outlook 2003 with no error.
Has anyone seen any behavior like this in Outlook 2007 or better yet, a
solution for it?

I am having the exact same problem here:

Having a problem with Outlook 2007 (enterprise) crashing whenever an
appointment is received or viewed. This only happens when the appointment is
coming from another user in the Exchange environment. If a new calendar event
is created with no one in it, then it is viewable. Attempted the following
fixes so far:
- Installed all updates from Microsoft Update
- FixPST
- Un-installing and re-installing Office suite
- Running Microsoft Office Diagnostics
- Running outlook in safe mode (Outlook.exe /safe)

.... problem still occurring. If I open up the account on a seperate PC
running Office 2003, no problems.

Here is the Dump Report information

Error Signature:
AppName: outlook.exe AppVer: 12.0.6316.5000 AppStamp:4833a470
ModName: outlook.exe ModVer: 12.0.6316.5000 ModStamp:4833a470
fDebug: 0 Offset: 0000f06b

I would be very interested in a fix for this

Thanks for the reply Bob,
Glad I'm not the only one with these issues!
I just want to clarify what's happening with Outlook in case I run accross
something helpful to you:
Outlook 2007 crashes when a meeting request is received, right?
(In my case, it crashes as soon as an attendee is selected during the
meeting setup)

For me, it is crashing in a couple different ways - but all are related.

1) In the exact same manner as you describe
2) If the account if pulled up under Outlook 2003 on a different PC, the
meeting is accepted, then you attempt to view that same meeting on the
calendar on Outlook 2007 it crashes there too.

I've seen these issues too and in searching the Internet I notice there a
quite a few people with this problem. Are Microsoft able to shed any light on
this issue?

In the case I have seen, Outlook crashes when attempting to use the
'Scheduling Assistant' portion of creating or editing a 'Meeting Request'.

Software versions:
- Exchange Server 2007 SP1 Rollup 5 on Windows Server 2003 R2 x64
- Outlook 2007 SP1 on Windows Vista x32

Have not yet contacted Microsoft directly, was hoping to find a solution
before having to go down that path
