Outlook 2007 Not Releasing Memory

Repeated openings and closings of Outlook 2007 (w/Business Contact Manager)
seem to show a loss of available memory with each open/close cycle. (Windows
Task Manager - Ctrl-Alt-Del) The memory in use seems to increment in
50MB-100MB segments for each cycle. Eventually the memory in use exceeds the
available physical memory (1.0GB) and the computer begins to use either the
paging file or Virtual Memory. (Memory in use exceeds 1.0GB) At that point
all computer functions begin to slow down. I have all the latest updates,
including the last update which prevents opening the SQL Server module until
Outlook 2007 is actually opened. Nothing short of a reboot seems to clear
this problem. Memory in use prior to starting Outlook 2007 is about 550MB.
I have not yet had the nerve to let the in-use memory increase to the limits
of my virtual memory (2.0GB), but I probably shouldn't tempt the gods. Is
this a known problem? Is there a solution?
