All Windows Live Hotmail accounts can be used with Microsoft
Office Outlook 2007 or Office Outlook 2003, regardless of
whether you use a free or paid Windows Live Hotmail account.
To access your Windows Live Hotmail account with Outlook,
you must first install the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector for
Windows Live Hotmail.

I'm trying to set up email but the http option in Outlook email set up is
grayed out. I had previously had this up and running for a couple years but
had issues with outlook connector and deleted the email setup to try to start
a square one.

I'm running Office XP.

Thanks.

MSN no longer allows HTTP access to Hotmail with Outlook 2002 or earlier.
Recently they started allowing POP access, so you should consider that. See
<https://windowslivehelp.com/solutio...your-e-mail-account-to-microsoft-outlook.aspx>

Alternatively, you can upgrade to Outlook 2003 or 2007 and use the current
version of the Outlook Connector or you can use Windows Live Mail from

Well, I'm two-for-two today. I think I'll just sign off and
get me a Dairy Queen Blizzard, and be done!
