Outlook fails to shut down properly

Re: Outlook 2000, WinXP home SP2

When I exit Outlook, it often fails to shut down, leaving OUTLOOK.EXE
running as can be seen in Processes in the Task Manager. It can be shut down
from there.

I have tried the "repair" option in Outlook as well as the "fix" at the
Symantec site re: WinFax PRO 10.02. Neither has helped.

Any suggestions?
