Outlook Find Not Working

I have a user running Outlook 2003 connected to an Exchange 2003 mailbox not
using Cached Exchange Mode and his Find tool in Outlook doesn't work. You
can pick a folder that only has 11 items and search for a word in the
subject line and Outlook will search for a half hour and will not find
anything. The user has an unheard of mailbox size of 13 GB. For legal
purposes the mailbox size cannot be reduced. I am completely baffled by
this. I have even tried switching computers and that doesn't fix the
problem.

Did you try detect and repair? Does it work if outlook is in 'classic' mode,
not cached?

After more digging i have found this to be a possible server problem not an
Outlook problem. To see more i am posting in the
microsoft.public.exchange.admin posting group.
