Outlook has started hanging

My nonprofit group purchased a volume license agreement with software
assurance for Microsoft Office 2007 Professional Plus from Techsoup.com We
have all installed the software and have been using it for close to 6 or 7
months. The program that is on my desktop has started to hang and freeze my
computer. I tried to log into tech support at Microsoft but it needs info
from the program and now it won't open at all on my computer.
First it was trying to send two emails that I deleted out of the outbox
because it was taking to long to send them. Now everytime that I open
OUtlook it wants to send those two emails but they have been deleted so I
can't understand why the program keeps trying to send them. Second, a window
keeps coming up every few seconds that states: Microsoft Office Outlook:
Contacting the server for information.
What can I do to fix this problem? I have tried a repair using the
installation disk.
