Outlook holidays

I have United States and Jewish holidays installed on my calendar. The
problem is that rather than show these holidays as all day events..they wrap
over two days!

So for example, on my monthly calendar, New Year's Eve extends from Friday
December 31st 2004 to January 1st 2005. When I click on the holiday, it shows
the that time duration is considered to be 8AM on friday to 8AM the next
day.

I would have thought that Microsoft would have made the default setting for
holidays "ALL Day EVent" to avoid this distracting problem of wrapping a
single holiday over two days.

Anyone have any ideas of how to convert holidays to all day events that
would simply appear as a "bar" on a single day in my monthly calendar.

This usually happens when you have your Windows Time and Outlook Calendar
time with different Daylight Savings Time settings. Check both places
(Control Panel->Regional Settings)) and make sure they match.
