outlook installation failed

I´ve just installed office 2007 Standard Trial, without removing my previous
Office 2003 Professional. While the new Word, Powerpoint and Excel run
perfectly, Outlook was not installed. I went to start, control panel, add or
remove programs, in order to add features to the installation, but here
Outlook appears as "not available". Then, I can only use my previous outlook
version (2003). What is happening?

You would need to uninstall the prior Outlook version, then re-run setup to make Outlook 2007 available via a custom installation.

Thank you but, now my doubts are more. Do you know how should I migrate from
the previous to the new version? what will it happen with all my previous
personal configurations in Outlook 2003? (this is pop accounts, filters,
folders, etc). Should I migrate manually? And also, why during the
installation of Office 2007 there was not any message warning me on this
problem? In fact, this requirement of uninstallation does not seem to apply
to my previous versions of Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

Could I expect any further problem, for instance incompatibilities related
to the version of the Microsoft Exchange Server running in our office network?

Its always been the case that only a single instance of Outlook can be
installed, why you aren't warned of this I couldnt say. - it doesnt apply to
other Office components -
The OL Profile and data files are not removed when uninstalling OL, any new
install usually connects to these.

Exchange Server, may depend on the version
