Outlook opens new browser window if IE not default browser

Lost In Translation

I am running Outlook 2000 on WinXP. After I installed
Mozilla FireFox and set it as my default browser, Outlook
will hardly display anything itself anymore, it opens
things in new FireFox windows.

How do I get Outlook to display things internally, as
expected, even using Internet Explorer if necessary, but
not to force me to use IE as my browser?
