Hello,
I installed Outlook SMS-Add-in 2.0 (mosa_usEN.exe) to send SMS messages via
Outlook 2007. After filling the form, when I try to send the message, I get
"A required property is missing from the SMS form. Please reinstall Microfot
Office Outlook SMS Add-in" error appears on the screen. I reinstall the
add-in several times but the error remains. Any idea about this error? If
this add-on is not reliable, is there any other similir product to use for
the same purposes?
Thanks in advance.
Atilla Gultekin.

Hi,
this add-in does not need to sign in any phone network. It uses your PC
atteched telephone as a modem to send SMS to directly to your phone. The
rest is the same as you are sending an SMS from your phone.

I was thinking of the SMS Link service in Outlook 2007.

Ok... with the other SMS addin installed, I get the same error with
bluetooth connection to my phone... and a crash. It also fails with my
cellular modem. But it can only send messages using a GSM mobile handset
that supports the PDU standard - I am on a CDMA network. It seems silly
that it would matter, since the message is only being transferred to the
phone - and the phone is doing the sending, plus the error seems to occur
before the phone gets it. But that is my guess as to why there are limited #
of complaints about this error, unless its because no one uses it. :)

I use email address formats to send SMS from Outlook as ordinary email (if
you need to count characters, type in notepad and watch the character count
then paste into outlook) but then I have cellular modem service, so I'm
always connected - if you don't have a data plan with the phone, this can be
expensive. I don't know if any transfer to the phone for sending - but
there is a list of SMS tools at http://www.slipstick.com/addins/pager.asp.

Hi

Even I am getting the same error. Did you figure out a way to get rid of it?
How is the computer/outlook to be connected to phone using bluetooth?

Using Vista/Outlook 2007.

Thanks

Saurabh

What error? (Hint: include the post you are replying to so we can see what
its about.)

The SMS add-in only works with GSM phones. You create a bluetooth
partnership between the computer and phone then sync. If you don't have a
GSM phone it will not work.
