Outlook2003 won't save user Pop3 mail server name

A user with WinXPSP2 and OfficeSmallBusiness Edition 2003 w all updates (SP3)
cannot keep the mail server settings in any profile we create on her system.
Every day after login she must alter her settings to fix the reverted
'localhost' name in her POP3 server setting. Also, her user name for that
pop3 account changes from '(e-mail address removed)' to
'(e-mail address removed)/pop3servername'.

She can use Outlook all day until she logs off or reboots. I have deleted
her profile, run 'Fix/repair', reinstalled office, copied her profile and
have run out of options.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. (this has been going on since
May.)

You've got some add-in that's acting as a proxy between Outlook and the mail
server, like SpamPal or your antivirus program. Disable that add-in and the
problem will cease.
