paste from onenote

every time I paste text out of onenote to my windows live messenger, it
either does nothing or sends a jpg. I have to open notepad every single time
and paste to it (which works fine) and then copy from notepad to send to my
online contacts (also works fine). I absolutely hate this. I keep a blank
..txt file on my desktop just for this purpose, but it's still incredibly
disruptive to minimize everything and work when I should be able to go
between two microsoft apps directly when three microsoft apps seem to agree
I'm dealing with text.

So this has never worked or recently stopped working?
What OS and version of OneNote?

I don't think it's ever worked right, I'm just tired of fighting with it. Our
corporate requirement is to use Windows Live Messenger Version 2008 (build
8.5.1302.1018). My OneNote is version 2003 SP3.

I tried searching for it and only found one other person having the same
issue, but no one ever replied to them and that was posted over a year ago on
another forum. I'd pretty much given up on OneNote for about 6 months, but I
haven't found a better alternative.

Thanks,
Scott

None that I've installed. There is a corporate background installation
application that might have done something, that's how they push updates and
patches since things like WindowsUpdate have been disabled. The only
non-Windows Standard stuff I've seen related to the clipboard is the Office
2003 manager that let me have up to 20 items (I think). The rest of my apps
have been upgraded to Office 2007, but Visio and OneNote are still 2003
because they're not as common for "regular" users.
