Pattern Blues !!!

I am using Visio ActiveX Control 2003 and VB.Net 2003

I am able to create and use Line patterns (using simple shapes like circle,
etc) programmatically on a line which is either a straight one or a dynamic
connector.

After I create and put that on the Drawing control, the application
drastically slows down. Even moving any object takes about a time > 40 sec.
If the pattern is not there objects moving takes usual time.

Plz. Help.

There was at one time a known problem with graduated fills, and, I assume,
custom patterns in the drawing control.

I believe that Visio's SP2 fixed these problems, but I am remembering this
off the top of my head.

Have you tried updating Visio to SP2?
