Pen pressure Sensitivity

I have a brand new Lenovo X61 tablet (Vista Business). I have OneNote 2007.

I am trying to get the pen pressure sensitivity to work. The option is
selected but it does not work. i know the laptop is capable of it b/c the
pressure sensitivity works in the Tablet PC Input Panel.

I have (or at least i cannot find any updates to) the latest drivers. Any
suggestions?

Are you sure your pen is being seen as a tablet and not as just a mouse? If
you've messed with the drivers at all, it is possible that Windows is now
just seeing your pen as a mouse. For example, does your writing look jagged?
Does the in-place input panel icon pop up when you're in a text field?

You also might try selecting a thick pen, then draw a quick swipe somewhere
on the page and look to see if the ends of the line "taper". It might just
be that the effect is too small for you to notice.

I figured it out. The pen size was just too small. .035 is apparently the
minimum pen thickness that supports the pressure sensitivity.
