Placing letterhead in body of email

Hi,
I have created a company letterhead (headers and footers) with Word. When I
complete the body of my letter I would like to send it in the body of the
email. It appears the header and/or footers appear as attachments in the
received email. How can I eliminate the attachment, which are nothing anyway.
The document is composed in Word, then I go to File>SendTo>Mail Recipient.
Outlook is using HTML as the message format.
