Powerpoint notes pane

Is there a way to show and edit text font/color in the notes pane and be able
to see the changes in the notes pane?

I am a medical student and this would be the best way to study, if I could
see the slides and have the ability to change the font colors in the notes
pane.

If not, why has this feature not been added? It would make .ppt the best way
to study.

I am presented a lecture, and I type notes into the "notes pane", but when I
study I would like to emphasize certain parts of the text in the notes pane,
but have been unable to do so.

Thanks in advance,
T

Unfortunately, the colors and formatting don't show up in the notes pane.
They do in Notes Page View, though, and in the printed Notes Pages.

To open Notes Page View, hit View | Notes Pages in PPT 2003, and in PPT
2007, it's on the View tab, then hit the Notes Pages icon. You can type and
format the notes there, but you cannot make changes to the slide itself in
this view.

For printing, it's File (or Office Button) | Print to open the Print dialog.
Then choose Notes Pages in the "print what" dropdown.
