Print any file to a page in OneNote did not work

The first item listed in MS Office OneNote 2007 version comparison is the
ability to print a file to OneNote just as you would a printer. Not in my
case.

I opened a page in OneNote where I want the file. I clicked on Internet
Explorer, and then on an item in my Favorites list. A magazine review I want
in OneNote appeared on the screen. I clicked File > Print > Send to OneNote
2007. Nothing happened. I looked in Onenote where I want it, and I looked
in unfiled documents.. The file was not there. I wonder what happened.

I clicked the Internet Explorer icon again; opened a PDF file. I clicked on
File > Print > Send to OneNote 2007. This time it said Flattening but no file
arrived. In the case of the HTML there was no acknowledgement of an action
underway.

What could be causing the problem?

What is the setting for the destination of printed files under Tools |
Options | Send to OneNote ?

Have you checked in the locations specified there for the printed files?
What happens if you change those settings to a different location and try
printing again?

Thank you for replying to my question.

I went to Tools > Options > Send to OneNote and tried each alternative. None
worked. I tried it with an HTML and PDF file.

I looked in the OneNote Notebooks folder. I found all the open notebooks and
the unfiled folder, but I did not find any files that the Send to OneNote
print command was suppose to send.

If OneNote is configured properly, and the instruction is being given
correctly, what could be preventing the procedure from working?

1.) Which OS are you running with?
Prinbting to ON does not work under Vista64.

2.) Do you see the "Send to OnNote" listed in "Control Panel >
Printers"?

Hi Rainald,

I am running Vista 32-bit . Send to OneNote 2007 was listed in Control
Panel. I right clicked Properties and clicked Test Page. A Test page was
sent to unfiled folder in One Note.

Guess what? When I checked Printer setup I was on the wrong notebook. I
went to the one where I am having a problem, and found Send to OneNote was
Paused. There were about 15 files waiting. I cancelled them, ran test page
and it worked.

Thank you for your help.

Great to hear that you could solve the problem.
