Print or PDF Conversion Issues

I’ve got an issue with a documents that I'm working on. THe problem is with a
brief section with a section break (next page) at the end of the page’s text.

When I run the doc to the print preview or through a PDF conversion,
several extra section breaks make their way into the bullets, random text
gets moved between the bullets, and the page numbering sets all of the pages
involved in this issue to 1. Then about 2 more pages of random text from
other sections in the doc get moved between the bullets before the bullets
appear in the text later on. All of this is done while the formatting in
revealed, revealing nothing that SHOULD cause this problem.

I’m not sure if you know why this document is doing this, but I’ve gotten to
the point where I’m just banging my head on the keyboard, which doesn’t seem
to work either.

Hi MzFitz,

Your description suggests you've got cross-references that have become corrupt and now refer to more than they should. Consequently,
when the fields update for printing, the extraneous material (which can include page breaks) is getting replicated. If this is
what's happening to your document, it's time to delete & recreate the bookmarks used for the cross-references.

In addition to what macropod said:
Setting field shading to “Always†will help you identify fields. Everything
inside fields will then be shown with gray shading on the screen.

It may be helpful to view the demo below Problem 3 via the link below in
order to understand and cure the problem:
