We have a portable PC (Vista Business) user who has been using BCM fine for
many months now (installed Jan 2008) with the BCM database located on SQL2005
server runnng on Server 2003. This server only runs SQL2005 for BCM. They
have been able to replicate the BCM database locally onto their PC for when
they are out of the office and via VPN trouble free since installation.
Suddenly, since yesterday, they were unable to work offline. Trying to
re-enable working off line via "configure database for offline useage" on
their machine starts creating the Offline Database but eventually stops with
"Business Contact Manager for Outlook could not complete your last action or
actions. Please try again."
I have enabled BCM logging but nothing too interesting, just a timeouts in
accessing SQL server. Other BCM users (both XP and Vista) are able to go on
and off line fine.
I have uninstalled and re-installed BCM and SQL2005 Express on the problem
users machine and still get same results, get nearly all the way there in
progress bar in synchronising and after a while stops with the above error.
Any thoughts on how to fix/debug this ?
