Problem with input mask and combo box

I have a table with several coulmns including column Phone Number. The
column Phone Number, I put the input mask as ###\-####;0;

If I understand correctly, this mask means that I want to store the "-" in
the field as well, not just the number.

The problem is, when I use a combo box in the form to filter by the phone
number, and display other fields information in the subform table. The list
in the combo box doesn't contains the "-". The combo work fine, but when I
manually type in the phone number with "-", Access couldn't find the
records.
