Problems with Clip Gallery in Office 2008

P

parkernathan

I'm trying to import a bunch of .WMF files into Clip Gallery under Office 2008 which I had under Office 2004, but when I ran my first import it had an error message trying to import a certain file. Then If I tried to import any files into it it just stood there & wouldn't import them. I tried re-starting Word & re-launching the gallery, & now the gallery crashes anytime I launch it & it asks me to send an error report to MS. I tried trashing the prefs files with no luck.

Here's the crash log:

I finally called Microsoft Tech Support & after performing a manual uninstall the problem was resolved. I found out what caused the Clip Gallery to crash was some old outdated clip art I had from years ago. Ran OK under Office 2004 but it isn't compatible with Office 2008. Oh well, that's why I have a backup PC.

Hi,
Thanks for the update and including a crash log. Could you please let me
know your machine configuration (PPC vs. Intel Mac, OS version)? Also, if
you still have the Clip Art that was causing you issues, please send it to
(e-mail address removed) (take out the NOSPAM. part). Thank you
for reporting this information.
