Project 2000 C++ Library Runtime error message???

When I try to open Microsoft Project 2000 on my laptop running Windows XP
Professional SP2 I receive the following error message:-

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\WINPROJ.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the applications support team for more information.

I click okay and Project shutsdown.

Does anyone know of a solution to this problem? If so I'd appreciate some
feedback on this issue.

For lack of other information it sounds like you installation of Project
is corrupt. I would try re-installing and see if that helps.
