Project 2007 Trial - BEWARE

B

BobP

I have a fully licensed (retail) XP Pro SP2/Office 2003 software base and
decide to trial Project 2007. On expiry of the trial, I noticed that
functionality on some Office Tools such as MS Picture Manager, had been
restricted to read only.

I removed (add/remove programs) the MS Project 2007 trial software in the
hope that it would reinstate my licenced software functionality but surprise,
surprise - it actually appears to have partially deinstalled Office 2003 as
when I run Excel, Word etc, it commences setup and calls for the installation
CD.

This wouldn't have caused me too much grief other than it was unexpected and
my install disk is on the other side of the planet.

I have reinstalled the trial Project 2007 software (which of course has
passed its expiry date) and surprise, surprise I have Office products back
online. This has enabled me to stay on the air untill my CD's arrive but why
is it so? Do I have to completely reinstall Office to uninstall Project 2007?
Hmmmm..not happy Bill.

Anyone else had this problem, if so how did you get around it.

Cheers

BobP
