Project Server 2007 Queue hanging

Hi,
I am unable to process the queue in Project Server 2007/Project Web Access.
My queue manager now at 5:08ET shows:
8/14/2007 11:37 AM Dorothy Carr IT042-MS Project 2007 Server Evaluation
Project Save from Project Professional Getting Queued 0% 1 Project . I have
rebooted server, reset IIS and nothing seems to get the queue processed.
What can I do?

Thanks,

Hi Dots,

You need to see what is stopping the queue from processing this job - the
queue is data based and rebooting will generally not fix anything in this
case. If it is a getting queued job this means that Project Professional
had not finished saving - so I would open up Project Professional again and
hopefully this will finish processing.

It is also possible that in a poorly spec'd server or virtual server that
the SQL Server database will not be ready when the queue service starts - so
it will stop again. Restarting the queue service should resolve this.
Beware - it can look like it is working but in Task manager you should
expect to see at least 2 queue services running. See
http://blogs.msdn.com/brismith/archive/2007/01/05/patience-please-async-processes-at-work.aspx
and also the link in this blog to the TechNet article on the queue in
Project Server 2007.

Best regards,

Brian.

Here is a little trick for force cancelling "Enqueued" jobs. Under
PWA>Server Settings>Manage Queue, expand advanced options and check the box
to enable the option "Advanced Options: Cancel jobs getting enqueued"

With this option now set, check the box of the job in the queue that is
stuck in the enqueued position and click on "Cancel Job". This option
should force cancel the enqueued job for you. This only works with enqueued
jobs and not ones that are stuck in a processing state.

THanks guys, going to advanced and checking the suggested option did the
trick. Thanks so much!
