Hi guys,

I have problem installing Project Server 2007 in existing WSS3.0 SP1 farm
environment that really blocks all my attempts to get it running.
I have existing WSS3.0 SP1 farm with server A being the front end, and
server X being the database server. I want to add a brand new VPC machine B
/win2k3 rc2/ that will host my newly installed Project Server front end.
I ran the Project Server installation on B, and after it completed I ran the
SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard tool to configure
this new server. During the installation I choose to connect to the existing
farm. The installer correctly found out the existing config database at
server X.
When I ran the SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration, first I've got this
error:

Failed to connect to the configuration database.

An exception of type System.Security.SecurityException was thrown.
Additional exception information: Access denied.

System.Security.SecurityException: Access denied.

The Zone of the assembly that failed was:

After some googling, I found that I need to install WSS SP1 to my new server
B so it can have the same WSS version number as the farm is.This time the
SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard tool completed
successfully so I went to configure
the server through SharePoint 3.0 Central Administration. I went to
Operations/Services on Server, selected services for server B, but there is
not any trace from any Project Server Service at all.
Without the Project Server Service, I can not continue the provisioning of
the web site and I do not know how to proceed next.

I also tried installing Office Servers SP1 on machine B, but this did not
get result for me.

In event log I only get this error:

The Execute method of job definition
Microsoft.SharePoint.Administration.SPIncomingEmailJobDefinition (ID
9cd69746-a1ea-4ab0-a84b-7665608ddb9b) threw an exception. More information
is included below.
Value cannot be null.

Parameter name: path

Can you advise me how to proceed? Am I doing something wrong? How to
troubleshoot this?

Thanks,
Martin Kulov
