Project Server Custom Fields Update using PSI

Hi,
Currently, i am able to insert the custom field value to the task and also
able to delete the same.

Now, for updating the existing Custom field values :
1. First i am deleting the Custom Fields from the Task
2. Publish the project
3. Insert the another set of custom field values to the task.

This above procedure is also working but little time consuming.

Can anybody post somecode sample where i will be able to directly update
the Task Custom fields. Without First deleting and then inserting in....!!
