"Properties window" unavailable in Access 2007 setup

I have Office 2007 Pro setup on a laptop and everything in Access
seems to operate normally except that the "Properties" window is not
available in forms design view. It should show up on the right edge -
as it does on another Access 2007 machine I have here - from the
context menu when you're in Design view on a Form. On the laptop,
though, nothing happens with I right-click on an object in a form and
choose "Properties". No window, not even a screen flash, nada. Under
"Design / Controls" group on the ribbon, clicking on the "Property
sheet" icon also has no effect -- other than closing out that ribbon.
(On the working Access install, the ribbon stays open and you can
toggle the Properties window on and off using that icon). The same
problem occurs with the "Properties" window (or lack of said) when
editing Reports.
A re-install didn't help, and update.microsoft.com shows no updates
are needed for the machine. So I assume it's a setting problem,
possibly a Registry issue, but I've no idea where to look for the
problem. Any ideas on fixing this would be most welcome!

Hi,

Maybe it is off the screen somewhere. Try setting your screen to a
higher resolution; see if it shows up to the right or lower down. If you are
brave you could temporarily rename the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Access\Settings key to see
if that has any impact.
