PS2k7 + Project Pro 2k7 in different domains

We are testing out project server 2007, and everything seems to be working
fine except for one (rather large) issue. We are not able to log in to the
project server from project professional 2007. Project Pro is running on a
Vista machine. The Vista machine is located in a separate forest than the
project server, and there is no trust between the two. The error that we're
getting is "Bad certification authority. ID=0x800a152a." However, the user
has the CA cert installed. When he vists the PWA site he recieves no
certificate warnings or errors. If we setup an identical machine, but
instead it is on the same forest as the project server, it logs in fine.

Now, with PS2k3 we had a somewhat similar issue where users would not be
able to log in to Project Pro. We could work around this by having the users
visit the PWA site and save their credentials when it prompted. This allowed
them to log in to PS, but, sadly, this is not working with PS2k7.

We are attempting to test this out with an XP machine instead of a Vista
box, just to ensure it's not Vista related, since we've been having other
issues with Vista machines.

Any ideas on how we can get Project Pro to work with PS2k7 eventhough their
in different forests? Is this just an unsupported scenario that isn't
mentioned anywhere?

The exact same thing happens with XP too, so at least it's not a Vista issue.
Is this configuration simply not supported?

Aaron,

You may get a quicker response re-posting your question to the project
server newsgroup (microsoft.public.project.server). The server gurus do
visit here but they have been quite busy of late on the server
newsgroup.
