Publisher 2003 Extra Blank Pages

Hi All,

Publisher Version 2003

I have a 12 page document that I have used for 7 versions of a
newsletter without any problems. I open up the previous one, delete
the content, save with a new name and start again. However, it has now
started to print an extra blank page after each page with content.
These blank pages do not show up in the document but only when I use
Print Preview, Print to a printer or try to create a pdf. I have tried
to print to different printers with the same result. The document is a
simple 12 page document. ie not a booklet. I can get around it
temporarily by printing duplex but I need to create a pdf for proofing
purposes.

I have tried looking at the Page setup but everything seems OK. The
printer settings have not changed but I don't think it is a printer
issue as it does this when printing to 2 different HP laserjet 5's and
an HP Color Laserjet 3800.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Have you opened a previous newsletter file to see if you get the same
phenomenon? You probably have some corruption going on.
You should create the newsletter from scratch every time. Create a template and
use it.

Hi Mary,

Previous versions are still OK. This version was also OK until today
when I made a few changes. Yes I know I should have created a template
first and will do so but I want to try and resolve this issue with
this file.

Just as a quick FYI/warning, make sure you don't create the template
from the current version. Create it from scratch to match the current
layout/design.

Ed,

Good point. I would have used the corrupted file as the base.

Any idea's on rescuing the current document?

Try copying and pasting the contents wholesale into a new file (don't
use this as the new base either, as it will still carry over problems -
but it might be a stop-gap for the current problem).
