I have Publisher 2003 running on Windows 7...when i tried to publish right
now it gave me the following message
"An Unexpected errror occurred: Not enough memory available to complete the
operation. Close other programs to make more memory available, and then try
again"
I've restarted, closed out everything, but nothing seems to work...any
suggestions...thanks

You have the dubious honor of the first person to post with an issue with
Publisher and Windows 7, so we will need more information.

Were you using Vista or XP before?

Are you saying that when you go to File > Publish to the web that this is
when you get the error? If yes, then where are you directing your web
files...to your local computer, or are you trying to upload directly to your
host?

Are you using HTTP or FTP uploading?

What are you running for antivirus?

Please provide the details of what you are trying to do, and perhaps we will
be able to help.

Also, have you installed the Office SPs for Publisher 2003? I have mixed
feelings about installing SP3, but would suggest that you try installing SP2
at least:

I am having this exact same issue. Basically, I hit publish to the web, type
in my http site information, this pulls up my login screen as normal, I enter
my username and password, and that is when the error message of not enough
memory occurs. I use Norton 360 as an antivirus (which believe me caused
various problems in itself getting that to actually work.)

As of now I actually have to use another computer running XP professional to
upload my website. Publisher itself works fine it is just this bug.

I understand it might be an issue with IExplorer 8, but am not quite sure.

So are you saying that you are using Windows 7?

What version of Publisher?

Do you have forms on your site that are dependent upon FrontPage server
extensions to work?
