Publishing new assignments programatically for PWA access

Currently
1. Create assignment through PDS, Autopublish set on
2. Log on to PWA cant see my new assignment
3. Collaborate->Republish Assignments in Project Pro
4. Log on to PWA, can now see my new assignment

From what I can tell, the VIEW tables get populate, but the WEB tables do
not until the republish.
So..., if the only way to do this is a Republish Assignments (Publish All
Info doesnt even work) in Project Pro, is there a good way to do this
programatically?

Anyone with experience doing this or something similar, I'd sure appreciate

I decided to make calls to the Project object through a VB app. I've gotten
to the point of opening a file (project is already open, and logged into),
publishing, and closing the file.

Next, I would like to be able to open Project. If I use my existing code,
Project opens with an error dialog saying "...you've selected a project while
you are offline...". I suspect this has something to do with not providing
the correct credentials. I'm not sure how to set this up through the Object
API. Does anyone know how to get this done?

Also, is there a way to automate Project without it acutally becoming
visible. It would be nice if Project does not actually get spawned to the
desktop.

In order to use project's object model, you must first open project. You
can automate this using a command script. Add the argument "/s
http://servername/projectserver" to connect to the server.
