RBS must define which resources the PM can allocate

We are using MS Project Server 2003 and Project Managers can build their
teams on project. RBS should be used to define which resources they can
allocate. Some resources that are not below them in the RBS sometimes are
allocated in their project by the Central Resource Planning organization (via
PWA). The problem now is that when PMs are building a new project these
resources seem to be available to them. I suppose this problem is related to
the configuration of the category "My Projects". Wait for your comments.
Thank you.

If you examine the default settings in the Resources section of the My
Projects category, you will see that the "Allow users in this category to
view information for all resources in projects that they manage" permission
allows PMs to see resources in their own projects. Since your Central
Resource Planning organization adds these resources to a project, that means
the PM of that project can now see those resources in the Project Server
system. I don't know any way around this issue because the system is
performing as designed. Hope this helps.
