Read/Write on every project (2007)

Hello,
Generally, I my company, the project managers can only see the projects for
which they are the owner.
For a specific department in this company, each PM must have read/write
permission on every project of every PM in this department. How to allow
that? We are using a RBS.
Thanks for your help.

I haven't been able to try this but for the My Organisation category, I would
check the modifier check box labelled "the project owner has the same RBS
value as the user", assuming all PMs in a dept are at the same RBS level.
Then within the PM group, for the My Org category, select Allow for the Open,
Publish and Savie Project to Project Server global perms.

Ben,
All the users of this department, whatever their level in the RBS, must have
read/write access on all the projects of that departement.
Any idea?

You have two choices... I'm not sure how you are defining which project
belongs to which department. Also, there are various levels of read/write so
I've not tried to 2nd guess what you are asking.

1. Create a category for each dept and manually add in the projects.
Create a group for each dept also. Put the dept users in the group.
Associate the group with the category, and set then category permissions
(read/write etc).

2. (preferable IMHO). Put all the resources from the relevant dept on the
project. Each resource will be a team member and have TM rights. If you
want to change these rights, then edit the category permissions for the TM
group.
