Recall problem on Outlook 2002

Dear all,

I have a question regarding the feature "recall message"
of our Outlook 2002. I tried to send a test email to
another staff, then I directly do the recall before he
read the email. He still get 2 emails (1 original email,
and 1 recall email).
Can you please help ?

As Diane said, it can take several minutes for a recall to work, IF it
works. It may fail if sending to external clients or not in the same
Exchange organization. With 5.5, it only works sporadically at best since a
number of people open their mail immediately, thereby bypassing the
attempted recall.

I have had the same thing happen here but I have exchange
2000. Is this a common problem? I have users that have
regretted sending some stupid emails and they have tried
to recall with failures. Is there some thing that can fix
this or should I keep telling them that this is an
unreliable feature in exchange? Help I think they are
beginning to think I am lying to them...
