Reinstall w/o losing calendar items?

Using Mac OS 10.6.8, MacBook Pro. HD crashed, got everything restored
xcpt Entourage calendar won't open. Reminders keep popping up, so I
know they're still in there. Think I need to reinstall from original
disk. Can I do that without losing calendar events? Where are they
stored?
