Resource Center Connection Time-out

All,

When using the Resource Center to view Resource Availability (MSP 2007) if I
select more than 30 resources and wish to see 8 weeks of daily data I receive
the Error screen with the "Project Web Access cannot connect to Project
Server because the connection timed out" message. If I select less than 30 it
takes about 85 seconds to return the data from the server and all is good -
30 or more and it takes over 90 seconds and the systems times out. Is this a
limitation seen often when using the Resource Center or is this a local
deployment issue?

We have one department that has more than 30 people so I am curious why PWA
says I can load up to 100 resources but times out at over 30.

Hi Darrell,

my understanding is that you can only view the information of maximum 30
people in the Avaiabillity screen of the "Resource Center".

As an alternative you may want to use the Data Analyser. You can essentially
achieve the same view using the OLAP cubes and this will not include
restrictions of 30 people
