Resource Related Category Permissions

In Resource Related Category Permissions there is the following security
permission: "They have the same RBS value as the User". My question is "the
same RBS value" it means the same Business Unit or the same level of the
Business Unit => Let's say my RBS contain 3 Level: 1st: Organization, 2nd:
Division, 3rd: Department and lets say the 2nd level (Division) has 2
different division (values) - Software and Hardware. The question is in case
I select the mentioned security permission for user in Software division will
I be able to see the resources both in Software and in Hardware Division or
only in the Software division.

Same RBS value means in both your examples the same Business Unit or only
Software.

Think of it this way:

Same RBS Level = Peer
One RBS Level below = Direct Report
Two or more levels below = Reports up to
