Restore deleted Contacts folder

Help! I deleted an entire Contacts folder by mistake (I had multiple Contacts
folders, some of which were duplicates, some old, some empty - probably due
to copying Outlook files back and forth between computers).

The Contacts folder I deleted - which (oops!) was my current one - doesn't
show up in Deleted Items. Is there any way to get it back? I can't copy a
Contacts folder from a back-up, can I, without also copying the other Outlook
info (which would be old)?

What version of Outlook?

Outlook won't allow you delete your default Contacts folder, so the one you
deleted can't be your "current one". Whichever one you deleted should be in
the Deleted Items folder of the Personal Folders file that contained the
folder. This is not necessarily your default set of folders.

It's Outlook 2003. Yes, the Contacts folder I accidentally deleted was my
current one, but not my default one. The default one is a few months old
(from the last time I had to use THIS computer because my laptop was in the
shop, as it is now again), and doesn't include my recently-added contacts.

I looked through all the folders in the navigation pane and didn't see a
Deleted Items folder that contained the Contacts folder I just deleted.
ARRRGGHH!

What Nav Pane view are you using?

The Nav Pane says "All Mail Folders" at the top. I don't know of any other
Nav Panes that have Deleted Items in them ... What am I missing?

Use the Folder List view instead. See if you have other PSTs (with their
accmpanying Deleted Items folders).
