Returning the current users of a database, JET_SCHEMA_USERROSTER?.

David W. Fenton

I got it open, sorry for the last reply. I do have a question
though. I got a message returned that Note: No users are logged on
at present to w:\Recycling Database.mdb". Shouldn't it find me as
being logged on and return my ID and info?

Do you have it open? If you opened it in exclusive mode, there won't
be an LDB file to read.

I was adjusting the permissions just as you told me in a previous post on
this topic. I understand that you suspected a Jet user-level security problem
but I checked that stuff also. I am using the Access UI to adjust security. I
have created my own WIF to track users and groups permissions. After looking
at everything you suggested I could not determine how to get the
JET_SCHEMA_USERROSTER to return the list of users. I, however, did use the
WhosOn function you provided me and it worked excellently. You helped me find
a way to achieve my ultimate goal but I did not get the JET_SCHEMA_USERROSTER
to work properly.

Thanks again.

I reccomend finding 'JetUtils' for download from MIcrosoft

I wouldn't trust anything this David Fenton fairy gives you to
download; he's a MDB wuss and he should be homeless; drinking out of
a bag on the side of the street

MDB IS DEAD
ADP HAS THIS BUILT IN!
