Rotating WordArt

Hello,

I have Office 2003 and a PH Deskjet 970 SCE printer.

In Word, I select a WordArt sample. I try to rotate it and it does not have
handles. I read online and on computer help and it suggests to go to the
"Draw" in the lower left corner, select Rotate or Flip, Free rotate. That is
grayed out for me.

I also read to right click the WordArt, select Format WordArt, layout, and
inline with text. This is the default setting and it still does not show a
handle for rotating.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

I don't know where you read this info, but if the WordArt is set to In Line
with Text it *can't* be free-rotated. It must be formatted with a wrapping
style in order for the rotation handle to appear or for the Free Rotate
option to be active in the menu. You can go to the Format WordArt dialog &
set a rotation value there.
