Running Onenote off USB stick?

Is it possible to run Onenote 2007 from a USB stick or does it have to
be fully "installed" on every computer?

ON is not built for being run from a stick.
As all other Office apps it is based in using the Registry and therefore
can not be run stand-alone.

But - there always is a but <g> - using Ceedo and its add-on Argo one
can install ON a stick wir - better - an external HDD.
I've posted on this several times in this group. So do a search in this
group with "Ceedo".

P.S. This technical possibility does not mean that working this way
would be conforming with the licence conditions

If I find the time I will definitely try this ceedo.
Runing ON on any computer will provide a lot of flexibility!!!

Do so and pls report back.
As said the speed if a stick is a decisive part if the game.
I had also tried it with an SD card but it was slow that it was hardly
workable.

Hi,
I installed OneNote with Ceedo on a USB-stick and it worked quite slow.
Additionally the Print to Onenote wasn't working. Now I installed it on
a external hard drive and it's much faster. But Print to OneNote is not
working again. I installed Word and Excel as well because I thought that
that might solve the problem but it didn't. I want to use OneNote on my
pc at work and I'm not able and allowed to install a local printer
there. Because this is how I solved the problem on my laptop.
It looks as if several people are using onenote with ceedo on a stick.
How did you manage to print to onenote? Or aren't you using this
function?
Thank you for helping!

The speed is the decisive part.
Of one wants to use a stick one has to make sure to get the fastest
stick available. Not only the speed of reading counts. As OneNote is
writing everything to its cache, the speed of *writing* is really
important too.

Although I seem to be one if the very few ON users who tested using ON
under Ceedo, I must confess that did not try out printing to OneNote.
It could pretty well be that it's not possible to install the
ON-printer.
And unfortunately I have no running version in a stick at present.

A workaround might be to print to a PDF and then import that into
OneNote.

I will test things again as soon as I get a new stick and a new external
HDD. But this may take a couple of weeks.
