Runtime Error -- Library not Registered Access 2003

C

Chegu Tom

I have an Access 2000 database that is used by Access 2000 and 2002 users.
It also works with access 2007. The database uses the MSWORD Object
Library. All are working in WinXP SP2

However when one user running Access 2003 (SP3 ) opens the database clicks
the
button that uses the MSWORD object I get a runtime error that a "library is
not registered." -2147319779

I have checked the references the Word 11 Library is checked. I have
unchecked it and rechecked it Still the same error.

I registered the library with regtlib.exe with successful results but still
have
the error

How do I register that Library? Do I need to download one to replace the
current one (corrupt?)

The database works OK on another Access 2003 machine

Should I reinstall Office

Thanks

Tom

I had a similar sort of problem after uninstalling Office 2007 from a
PC then installing Office 2003.

Tried all sorts - the thing that worked for me was to remove a
registry entry - (I had previously removed the Office12 registry entry
(after first backing it up of course) in HKLM\Software\Microsoft - but
this didn't work and tried loads of stull to no avail afterwards)

The key I removed was in HKLM\Software\Classes\TypeLib
\{00020905-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}\8.4 (I think I also removed it
from the HKCU\Classes\etc..)

The entry for 8.3 references the Word 11 object but the 8.4 entry
seemed to be for Word 12.

Removed the key and no more errors!

Hope this helps.

PS The way I got to this reg key was searching the registry for
MSWORD.OLB

Just wanted to say a big thanks for that - now works perfectly
